Biokoana – Biogas Processing system

The air-cooled chiller is designed to cool biogas in a special shell and tube heat exchanger. In order to remove excess moisture from the biogas, the biogas must be cooled to a certain temperature. The best way to cool them - is with water. A circulating cooling water system is designed for this purpose. A chiller is the most suitable choice, as the water temperatures for biogas dewatering are quite low (up to + 7 ℃). In this project, a decision was made to dehydrate biogas using a Cygnus chiller.

Due to the aggressive environment at the biogas drying place, the chiller was supplied with the "prepainted coils" option. All copper parts of the chiller were epoxy coated and baked in a special oven.
